Events are a great way to meet other Greyshirts and get to know more of your new community (or reconnect with your old one!)
There a few things you should know:
Q: May I bring my firearm to a Team Rubicon event or operation?
A: No. Leave all firearms, illegal knives, or any other weapon, at HOME.
Q: What if I leave it in my personal vehicle?
A: No. Leave all firearms, illegal knives, or any other weapon, at HOME.
Q: I'm not a member of Team Rubicon, may I sign up for one of your events?
A: Online Event Registration is only for Team Rubicon volunteers. Please sign up so that you can attend (and more)!
If you need help signing up, please check out: How do I become a Greyshirt? How do I open a Roll Call account?!
Q: May I bring a friend, partner, kid, who is not yet a Greyshirt, to an Event?
A: Maybe! (but not usually)
- It depends on the Event:
- Unless the Event specifies it's a family-friendly event, it's most likely just for our registered Greyshirts.
- Please check with the Event's organizer/Point of Contact (POC) before bringing your +1 (or +3)
- If they are over 18, encourage them to sign up to be a Greyshirt and register to attend the Event for themselves!
Q: May I bring a friend, partner, who is not yet a Greyshirt (but interested), to an Operation?
A: Maybe! (but not usually)
-
Occasionally, we allow Spontaneous Volunteers to a local operation.
- Please check with the Operation's Point of Contact (POC) before bringing your eager friend!
- If they are over 18, encourage them to sign up to be a Greyshirt and register to attend the Event for themselves!
Q: May I bring my kid(s) to an Operation?
A: No. The heart of a disaster zone is no place for kids. Once they turn 18, encourage them to sign up to be a Greyshirt and deploy with you!
